  • CDE Cornell Dubilier Large Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors [15 min]

Give More Bang for the Buck

CDE Cornell Dubilier large aluminum electrolytic capacitors feature screw-terminal construction with ThermalPak™ for cool operation, unique box construction MLP Flatpack™ capacitors for the square holes in electronics and a huge range of snap-in capacitors. These large aluminum electrolytic capacitors are the best value capacitors for power electronics because they deliver low cost capacitance in thousands of microfarads at voltages to 600 V. But selection and application is complicated by the need to choose and specify low-cost capacitors that will deliver the needed lifetime under the application conditions.

Join CDE's Laird Macomber for a 15 minute webcast demystifying capacitor selection with these highpoints:
    • Realistic performance expectations
    • Typical power electronics applications
    • Capacitor selection keys for success
    • CDE expected life calculator for optimizing your design.
    • Review of screw terminal, flatpack and snap-in capacitor choices.

Enjoy the experience of updating your bus capacitor design skills.

  • Analog Devices ADM3251E Fully Isolated RS-232 Transceiver [06 min]

The ADM3251E is a high speed, 2.5 kV fully isolated, single-channel RS-232 transceiver device that operates from a single 5 V power supply. The device is ideally suited for operation in electrically harsh environments or where RS 232 cables are frequently being plugged and unplugged due to high ESD protection. The ADM3251E incorporates dual-channel digital isolators with isoPower®-integrated, isolated power. Chip-scale transformer iCoupler® technology from Analog Devices is used both for the isolation of the logic signals as well as for the integrated DC/DC converter. The result is a total isolation solution.

Join Analog Devices' Norma O'Mahony for a 7-minute Webcast discussing:

    • Target applications
    • New design options for data transmission between multiple systems
    • Key features
    • Device operation

In less than 7 minutes, you'll gain an understanding of how the ADM3251E enables a total isolation solution in a small form factor by integrating a chip-scale DC/DC converter and dual-channel digital isolators.
